AARS is committed to projects that advance the scholarly research of runes and runic inscriptions both in Europe and North America. From the beginning we have established partnerships to advance new knowledge in this academic discipline. The association has partnered with Uppsala University in Sweden to create an Endowed Professorship and secure the financial resources to realize this objective. We are currently partnering with the Swenson Immigration Research Center https://www.augustana.edu/swenson to transfer the Dr. Richard Nielsen Collection.
